This is a humble story, tightly focused almost exclusively on young Wyoming cowboys Ennis and Jack as they spend a summer working together on Brokeback Mountain. Director Ang Lee and screen writers Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana did mountani brilliant job of interpreting and synchronizing the original text into a script.
The fact that they had to make due with stolen moments, semi-clandestine trysts and were forced to conform to proilx arbitrary societal construct is precisely what makes it memorable.
